In a search on home education I found 'A Plan for Educating Children'. This article has helped me put off my wrong ideas gathered from my own public school experience and then my studies in getting my M.Ed. I have been so blessed to find a true Biblical idea of education while my children are young, the oldest is almost 3. My husband grew up in an Apostolic church in Central America and has also helped me understand the difference in following God or the traditions of men. We still have far to go to truly live as Jesus called, but are seeing more and more the need for true teaching. Thank you for allowing me (and everyone) to read your books for free. Praise Jesus church. I came across this website recently and was delighted not only with the content and how well it is presented, but also to find out that Bro. David Huston is involved. I met him in 1997ish when I was at the war college. A brother from the church picked me up, took me to church, and afterwards Bro. Huston and I got to fellowship. He left an amazing impression on me. So selfless and pure, such trust in the Lord. Over the years I have recounted the story to the wife of my youth and the three precious boys that the Lord has entrusted to us. Thank you for your understanding and teaching truth.I had to leave my fellowship because of a false shepherd that was brought into my church to preach the gospel.He is into the church growth movement of Rick Warren and his only desire is idolatry and materialism.What I can't understand is why do older members of the church either don't see or they don't say anything.He has run many people off for not agreeing with his ministry and how he chooses to run the church.I have yet to find a fellowship that operates anywhere close to the early church and apostles,but I desperately crave and hunger for a true body to fellowship with and grow closer to Jesus.

I've been deeply helped by 'The Purpose Of Altars'. The Lord has me going through a 'long time' situation. No one understood it.The Lord kept turning my attention to 2 Corinthians12:1-12. The only things my 'inner man' seemed certain of was 'Baptism of the Holy Spirit' and 'the Altar'.
Tonight I studied 'The Purpose Of Altars' and it all became clear. God wants me to stop dotting 'i's' and crossing 't's' in my life. The only 'I' He wants me to be concerned with is the Great 'I AM'. And the only 'T's' He wants me to be concerned with is the 'T-Shaped' Cross Of Christ. God totally wants me to crucify all fleshly independence and trust totally in Him.
My Church believes in Healings and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Ironically I prayed for the gift of healing 37 years ago. I'm certain that God's outpouring upon me depends on me submitting to this very uncomfortable altar.
Thanks to you I now have confirmation, explanation and peace.

I just would like to say that I believe exactly what the Glorious Church is suppose to be Christ Jesus and to act. I use to believe in being baptised in the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit, but in the Acts of the Apostles not one time did they ever baptise in that method. Dave, Came across your paper on 'The New Testament Elders' in my literature review for my Ph.D. studies. I have found some very sound and succinct articles on the subjuct, and have written on it myself, but yours is the best that I have seen. 14 years ago we made the transition from a democratic run board church to a New Testament Elders church. I read your article on speaking in tongues and I really liked it. I run into this question all the time. I think the church does not have enough teaching on this subject and we are living below Gods plan for our life here on planet earth. I think people are affraid of what God has to offer. we need a Holy reverance to the degree that we would fear that we would not have everything God has to complete his mission for souls to be won into the kingdom.God give us the fear to say no to the world and yes to you like Moses Had. This is the kind of fear that the Ten Commandments were established by.This is a Holy fear of God and so we will begin to act in real maturity by the flood gates of Heavens blessings instead of the worlds blissfulness. God only needed one man to bring the commandments off the mountain. What woul happen if we would all begin to carry out those commandments to the fullest degree. God help us to continue the Great commision at what ever cost.

I love God's Word, and the Apostolic Faith. In 1995 through personal study i came to the understanding that Local Christian Assemblies, Biblically, were to be led by Elders (plural) not a 'Pastor' (singular). I taught this to a small Bible Study group, and felt very isolated and alone. A decade later i became aware of Bros Dave and Jim's work in promoting Eldership Ministries for Local Assemblies. It was exciting to know that there were others... I have since attended their 'Glorious Church' conferences and am greatly encouraged. In todays world many Fundamental Christian Local Assemblies, especially Apostolic Local Assemblies, are led by a single 'Pastor', with virtual 'Sovereign' authority. These 'Pastors' at times expect 'Kingly' benefits. These situations often lead to problems that no Christian Local Assembly should ever face. Some of these problems are detailed, and warned about, by God himself in I Samuel Chap 8. The pathway forward is to closely follow God's plan - Elders (plural) being responsible for, and having 'oversight' (authority over, Hebrews 13:17)over each Local Assembly.

Praise God, I just now found this site and have been greatly encouraged. I was beginning to think maybe I was one of the few that was having revelations like this. It's so easy over time for people to get caught up in man made religion, including the apostolic believers. We have been taught reverence, and thank God for it, but to the point where I know many who feel condemned if they ever have even the smallest thought of disagreement with the 'machine'. My Bible tells me to seek my own soul salvation, with fear and trembling. Anyway, in an agewhere we are on the edge of the breaking out of 'The Latter Rain' in which God WILL pour out of HIS Spirit upon all flesh. The Pentecostal movement, of which I was birth into, but I prefer to call myself Apostolic, does not have a monopoly on this thing. Just like the Jew rejecting all of what the Lord was trying to set up, the church has went its own way over time. All of these other titled denominations are already being revealed the truth of who Jesus really is and his Full plan of salvation. There are sincere folks from all other, shall we say experiences, they will be filled as the word promises. Thus fulfilling those who are first...in a different light. So why don't we all rally around the Word, get busy for the kingdom, not building kingdoms here, and use the talents God has given us, so when he returns, w will have something to show for our service. Not being unprofitable servants, but productive in Glorifying HIS church. We are the church. Thanks God for this book and all the other info onthis site. I have not read much of the book yet, but am already encouraged and inspired!! Thanks so much and God Bless!

We take care of children who are abandoned. Children of all ages are found in our orphanage. These children have no parents and no one wants to take responsibility of them. Some of these children are left here because their parents do not want them as they cannot afford to look after them. We send them to our schools and educate them and help them to live a better independent life as they grow up. All these children are brought up with Christian principles and are taught the word of God. The many children in India begging their food in roads, bus and railway stations.

I'm a former 23-year actively gay Mormon missionary. On July 4, 2004 I was redeemed in Jesus Name. Then on September 1 I started attending the Apostolic Tabernacle of Merced, CA. On October 31 I came out of the water talking in tongues. I’m very happy to say that when I was baptized, the LORD took away all the gay lustings that I had for men. Praise the Lord,you believe what my husband has been trying to tell me for so very long a time,but I was too afraid to even consider it. Some how I had bought into the message the ministirial organization as we have been under was 'THE'way to do things and that I'd be lost if I changed my beliefs on the known organizational structure.
Now that I have read what you have put forward,it makes total since to be. Infact,I can see that I have believed it all along,but could'nt see it because 'FEAR' blinded me. I could'nt the truth and I was terrified of shunning and rejection. But, not now.

Congradulations men of God, on the new website. It's beautiful! I really like the colors and sunset background and what looks like an Oak tree to the far left in the Glorious Church Heading. Very nice.
A previous guestbook signer wrote, 'I am from India and feel the need for this quite desperately as we seek to turn this nation to the living God from serving idols.'
It made me think about what a big work is here and ahead of the Church. Thankfully we serve a Big God with a mighty Name! Please keep up the Good Work as the number of Acts 2:38 believers longing to be a part of a true New Testament church seems to be growing rapidly.
There is so much work to do in laboring with Jesus to build His church. All of the work toward that purpose compiled right here is not in vain.
I'm so glad the Lord led me to the book, The Glorious Church and delighted to be able to post a link to www.GloriousChurch.com on personal emails and wherever I can.

Very Interesting, I have read several of your articles.
I agree with and have saught out these scriptures regarding the Layout of the church.ie elders, bishops not reverends or the Hiarchy of the single preacher.
It really makes Preachers and others in the Church Mad.
But I still have not received a good answer from most.
I have been attending a church that the pastor has become almost infalible, and has preached sermons putting the position of pastors on a pedistal.
Keep up the good work and give me more reason to study study study.
that is what the Bible tells us to do anyway .
Prove the word in working out our on salvation.

"The Glorious Church" was a treat to read and a very thought provoking presentation of Biblical truth that is dangerously close to the pattern of the early church. I say "dangerous" because if the Church can get ahold of this, we will see an "explosion" of apostolic ministry in our generation that will revisit upon us the fires of Pentecost! To God be the Glory!

I'm almost finished reading The Glorious Church and I recognize it as the church I've been searching for and longing for in my heart. It's description is both simple and profound, but most of all biblical in structure. I pray that the Lord will restore to us this apostolic foundation for worship and fellowship in these last days. A must read for all believers.

I wish I had read this great book years ago.
I reccommend it to any child of God who really wants to see the people of God act 'Real' both to Jesus and to each other.
