Question:
John 5:22 says that the Father does not judge but the Son? Are the two different from each other? If Jesus Christ is the Father manisfested in flesh, then the Father judges?
Answer:
John 5:22 says, 'For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son.' The Father is the etenal Spirit of God while the Son is God's humanity. This verse is simply saying that God will not judge the human race from His persepctive as Spirit, but from His human perspective. In other words, we will be judged by one of our own kind. Therefore, it would be accurate to say that the Father will judge mankind through His Son, that is, through His humanity. A related passage is Acts 17:30-31, which sys, 'Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained.' God will judge 'by the Man.' The Man Jesus will be the standard by which all other men are judged. This is a mark of God's perfect justice.
