Question:
In Matthew 27:46 who is Jesus speaking to when he says 'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'
Answer:
The flesh of God was speaking to the Spirit of God. The flesh was not indicating that the Spirit had departed from Him, only that the Spirit was not helping Him or making the experience of the cross easier for Him. Jesus suffered the pain and indignities of the cross as one of us, in exactly the same way anyone of us would. Oh what a Savior!
