Question:
You say that 'prior to coming in the flesh, God had no permanent form; He was Spirit.' Do you mean that God is not a spirit anymore? Can you then explain the reality that even in flesh Jesus confirms that God is Spirit John 4:24.
Answer:
We never said that God ceased to be Spirit; only that He added flesh. In fact, here are our exact words, which you seem to have read right over: 'Before God added the dimension of humanity to Himself, He was pure Spirit. By this we mean that He was a powerful, omnipresent, intelligent Being just as He continues to be today.' God is 'the eternal Spirit' (Hebrews 9:14). This means He always was and always will be Spirit.
