Question:	Who or what is this spirit? 1 kings 22:21 says, 'And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.'

Answer:	This was an angel. Hebrews 1:7 says, 'And of the angels He says: 'Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.' On ocassion the angels are simply called spirits (see Acts 8:26 and 29). But they are of a different quality that the Spirit of God. They are created; He is uncreated. They are limited; He is omnipresent.
