Question:
In the sight of men, yes, God is invisible. But, do you believe God has an invisible form or shape that no man has seen?
Answer:
To us, the phrase 'invisible form' is meaningless. By definition an image is something that can be seen. The only sense in which God had an invisible form, shape, or image was in the throughts of His own mind. He conceived the idea of coming as a man before creation. In this sense God had a form, but it was only ideal. It did not become real until it was expressed in the earthly realm, first in temporary manifestations, later as His Son.
