Question:
Is tithe not a ceremonial aspect of the law, just as circumcision. The fact is that Levites are the ones who performed this ceremonial aspect?
Answer:
No, tithes was not an aspect of the ceremonial law. It has no fulfillment in Jesus Christ. It is true that the Levites received the tithes of the people. The Levites were an aspect of the ceremonial law, but not the tithes. The principle behind the law of the tithes was support of ministry and honoring God with the firstfruits. These principles continue to have application today.
