Question: Is it not true that there are only three races of people which are mentioned in Scripture? Jew, Gentile, and the 'half breed,' a mixture of both.

Answer: God makes distinctions between people from several perspectives. For example, He may view us as individuals, as families, as ethnic groups, as nations, as men, or as women. From a salvational perspective, He seems to place all human beings in one of three categories: Jew, Gentile (non-Jew), or member of His body, the church (which is composed of both Jews and Gentiles) (see 1 Corinthians 10:32 and 12:13). Racial distinctions do not appear to have anything to do with God's purpose. 'For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart' (1 Samuel 16:7).
