Question: One of God's moral attributes is love. And some define this attribute as 'God eternally giving Himself to others.' Could you please comment on this definition?

Answer: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 1 John 3:16-17

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
