Question: It seems there is a shortage of 'planters.' What is it if it is not a 'demand and supply' sort of thing--is it 'supply and demand' ('demand' meaning 'need')? How can there *not* be enough planters? I am praying God will speak to the hearts of many men who have hearts to see God's glory reflected on Earth to answer His call to plant collegial-eldership assemblies.

Answer: Perhaps there has always been a shortage of planters. After all, the only specific prayer request the Lord Jesus made was, 'Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest' (Matthew 9:38). The next thing we read is, 'And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power...These twelve Jesus sent out...'(Matthew 10:1,5). In other words, the laborers Jesus had in mind were apostles, the sent out ones. And what are apostles send out to do? To plant local assemblies (see Acts 13-14).

Thank you for your post and let us agree to join together in praying for the Lord of the harvest to send out more and more laborers into the harvest.
