Question: Romans 8:34 says that Jesus is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. I have tried to explain this to some who think Jesus is running around heaven praying for us to God. Can you tell me how to explain this to open their eyes and heart that Jesus did all on the cross for us and that HE IS NOT PRAYING FOR US TO THE FATHER IN HEAVEN????

Answer: Jesus is not praying to the Father because He is the Father, manifested in the flesh. His intercession, mediaition, and advocacy for us took place on the cross when God reconciled us to Himself through Christ (His human manifestation). Hebrews 10:10 says, 'By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.' Everything that needed to be accomplished for us was accomplished fully and completely when Jesus offered Himself 'once for all.' Notice that this verse says 'we HAVE BEEN sanctified.' It is an accomplished reality. We must simply partake of it by obeying the gospel and walking in faith.

The remarkable thing is that the impact and effects of what Jesus accomplished nearly 2000 yeare ago still reverberates across both heaven and earth today!
