Question: As a New Testament Greek scholar, I am somewhat stupified at your dogmatic assertion that hair is given to a woman for covering. If that were so then men should shave their heads otherwise they would be covered. As an Apostolic Pastor and college lecturer, I suggest that you study the word in it's context before making such statements and destroying peoples liberty and joy. The Greek word is NOT hair but DOWN/Veil. That is something she puts over her head because of the angels.

Answer: 1 Corinthians 11:15 says.....

But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her; for her hair is given to her for a covering. (NKJV)

But that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. (NIV)

But if a woman has long hair, it is her ornament and glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. (Amplified Version)

But if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. (English Standard Version)

And a woman, if she have long hair, a glory it is to her, because the hair instead of a covering hath been given to her. (Young's Literal)

We believe these Scriptures speak for themselves.
