Should I leave my church?

Question:
I attend a very strict apostolic church, which does not believe in Christmas, Easter, wedding bands, watches, TV, short sleves. Now I believe in all of these and I do not feel wrong by it. I have been talking to my pastor about the way I feel, and I told him that maybe I should go to a different church that believes more like I do. He said that the church I am considering is loose.
Answer:
We are all responsible for our salvation and owe it to ourselves to fellowship with an assembly where we can be adequately fed and challenged. We will never find a church where we agree with everything. This means that we must decide what doctrines and practices are deal-breakers. That is, what is serious enough that it would make an assembly intolerable. Changing assemblies due to disagreements is a very serious matter. We suggest you be prayerful and take your time. Ultimately you must make the decision based on what you believe to be best for you and your family.
