Question: At the end of the world will we understand how God always existed? Something which we don't understand now? Have either of you ever seen Jesus Christ face to face in a vision or apparition? Is the day Jesus is to come a fixed day or can it be brought sooner by intercession and prayer for it? Will we meet the mother of Christ at the resurrection of the dead? Will we wear white robes or will we still be able to wear the sort of clothes we did here? Will we still find the opposite sex attractive and will we have romantic feelings? Will all secrets be revealed on the final day or will there still be some secrets kept from us by God for reasons only known to him? Did the apostles lose faith in Jesus final coming when they said, Where is the promise of his coming? I feel that such an event will never occur and that billions of years from now humanity will still be waiting in hope for Jesus to come.

Answer: We will answer your question one at a time.

1. At the end of the world will we understand how God always existed? Today, looking into the spiritual realm is like looking through dark glass. We see only dimly. Once we enter into eternity, we shall certainly see more clearly. See 1 Corinthians 13:12.

2. Have either of you ever seen Jesus Christ face to face in a vision or apparition? No. 1 John 3:2 says, 'Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.'

3. Is the day Jesus is to come a fixed day or can it be brought sooner by intercession and prayer for it? It is a fixed day (see Acts 17:31 and Hebrews 10:25).

4. Will we meet the mother of Christ at the resurrection of the dead? You won't, since you don't believe in any of this. If you would like to meet her, then you must be born again the same way she was(see John 3:5 and Acts 2:38).

5. Will we wear white robes or will we still be able to wear the sort of clothes we did here? It won't matter to you, since you won't be there. Revelation 20:15 says, 'And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.' For those who will be there, see Revelation 7:9 and 19:8.

6. Will we still find the opposite sex attractive and will we have romantic feelings? We have no Scripture from which to answer this.

7. Will all secrets be revealed on the final day or will there still be some secrets kept from us by God for reasons only known to him? 1 Corinthians 13:12 says, 'Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.' Psalms 25:14 says, 'The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him.'

8. Did the apostles lose faith in Jesus final coming when they said, Where is the promise of his coming? The apostles did not say this. Peter reported that there were scoffers, such as yourself, who were saying this. See 2 Peter 3:1-7.

9. I feel that such an event will never occur and that billions of years from now humanity will still be waiting in hope for Jesus to come. You are free to base your life on what your feel, but we have chosen to base ours on the plain teachings of the Bible. In the end we will see who was right. If you are right, no problem. If we are right, then you are in serious trouble with God!
