Question: Jesus is the Living Word and the Healer and worthy of ALL praise. But would a counselee need to be infilled with the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues to be 'cured' from mental illness (those not associated with Alzheimer's, drug-induced illness, etc., but those such as schizophrenia)? The chart available from a link on their website begins with boundary issues (not hearing 'no', not accepting responsibility for wrong decisions/actions) and pride as do other books and articles recommended on the Glorious Church website. Is their method harmful to people? What specifically is the difference keeping in mind that Jesus is the Healer? Thank you for considering this further question.

Answer: Here is what we can say: Jesus has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him (2 Peter 1:3). This is a promise to all who are connected to Jesus through the new birth. The solution for everyone is to get connected to Jesus. The Bible offers nothing for those who refuse.

We agree that boundary issues are often at the root of mental problems, but we are not able to speak authoritatively about the totality of this material or how the principles of the Bible should be applied in particular situations. We simply do not have enough information.
