Question:
Why are Apostolic churches formed and run in a Pyramid Structure (mindset)? Isn't this wrong, ungodly, and heathenistic?
Answer:
Most churches today get their basic structure from the Roman Catholic Church. Most have one man at the top who exercises top-down authority. We presume this is what you mean by a pyramid structure. Of course, one of the primary purposes of this web site is to offer an alternative structure, one that we believe to be the biblical structure. As to why churches employ the pyramid structure, it is probably a combination of reasons, including tradition, the need to control, and this is what most people seem to want. When these reasons begin to dissolve, then perhaps things will begin to change.
