Question:
I am currently taking a tough western cultural heritage course at my school. Having read stories like Gilgamesh, and Theogany, my instructor basically says that the Bible is derived from a lot of old Greek stories. He even says that Yahweh is not the first God. Is there any truth to this?
Answer:
You are hearing the opinion of one man. There may be others who agree with this view, but there are certainly many more who do not. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but it is his opinion and no more. So you must choose: will you believe this man's opinion or will you believe the Bible? You cannot believe both.
The Bible declares that Yahweh is the only God and that He has come in the flesh. This is why we now call Him Jesus.
