Is it faith or fact?

Question:
I know we are saved by grace through faith. Does faith become fact when we receive the Holy Ghost and if it does become fact, is it or can it still be faith?
Answer:
You have reversed the order. The fact is that Jesus has poured out the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:32-33). When we act in faith, this fact becomes our personal experience. When you receive the Spirit and speak in tongues, you are demonstrating that you have believed the fact that the Spirit has been poured out.
For a more detailed explanation, please read our article 'Fact, Faith, and Experience' found on the Doctrine shelf of the Apostolic Free Library.
