Question: |
Would I be in error of false doctrine as I have been told?
There is always a possibility of being in error. This is why we must diligently search the scriptures to see if what we read and are told is true. There is no other way to not be deceived. We must determine not to be swayed simply by what someone says about being led astray, but be compelled by the evidence, convinced by the scriptures themselves.
If a belief in a trinity were biblical, than the scriptures would fully support it. They do not. There may be a variety of pro-trinitarian literature, but this is not scripture.
I was basically ostracized from my trinitarian congregation when I came to believe in the Oneness of God and in the biblical plan for salvation. In the mind of many, I was in error. Yet, I preferred to believe in the scriptures and in following God over man. The path of obedience is not necessarily an easy one, but it is a blessed one! And God has prepared the way already.
May God bless you in your study of His word and in your obedience to Him.
