Who can say why God did anything? Perhaps He simply wanted to display His power and creativity. Perhaps He wanted to fill His creation with things that we would wonder at. Why did God make the odd little fish that live near the bottom of the ocean? No one even knew these fish existed until recently. Perhaps He made these things simply for His own enjoyment.
