We believe that God is sovereign. We believe that God is all-powerful. We believe that God is righteous. Having said that, we are also aware that there have been hurricanes pounding the US for centuries. As to whether they are deliberately caused and directed by God as judgments or arbitrary 'acts of nature' allowed by God we are not prepared to say.
Isaiah 26:9 says, 'For when Your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.' Regardless of the origins of these storms, let's just hope that the inhabitants of the US are learning righteousness.
