Question:
Does it not show that this verse 1 Peter 3:18 and 19 is a chronological events of what has transpired. death, quickened by spirit, preached in prison?
Answer:
No, it is not chronological. This passage is saying that the same Spirit by which God preached to the people in Noah's day is the One that raised Christ from the dead. It makes no sense at all that Jesus, while He was dead, went somewhere and preached to people who had been dead for over 2000 years.
