Who are those who sleep in Jesus?

Question: 1 Thessalonians 4:14 says, For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.' In this verse, who are those who sleep in Jesus that God will bring with him? And where would God bring them?
Answer: Those who are asleep in Jesus are the believers who have died. The Bible often likens death to sleep. At the coming of the Lord Jesus, all of the faithful dead from all generations will be raised to everlasting life and will forevermore be with the Lord. The resurrection is the great hope of the church.
