Question:
Praise the Most High God in the name of Jesus! My question is, how many spirit were in Jesus while He was in His earthly ministry? The Holy Ghost and spirit as in his human nature?
Answer:
The Bible tells us that Jesus was led by the Spirit (Matthew 4:1) and spoke by the Spirit (Acts 1:2). We can conclude from this that the Holy Spirit was in Jesus. We also know that Jesus was a human being in every sense of the term. Hebrews 2:14 says, 'Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same.' Since every human being has a human spirit, we can conclude that Jesus also had a human spirit. The difference between us and Jesus is this: Not all humans have the Holy Spirit within them; each of us must receive the Holy Spirit. We must also struggle to live a life united to the Spirit; that is, in full submission to the Spirit. In Jesus, the Holy Spirit and His human spirit were always perfectly united. In John 8:29 Jesus said, 'And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.' None of us can say that.
