Question:
After His resurrection, why Jesus did not show himself to the people or to the Sanhedrin to prove that He is alive?
Answer:
1 Peter 1:8 says, 'Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory....' Perhaps Jesus determined that after His resurrection, the only people He would show Himself to were those who already believed in Him. Everyone else would have to believe having not seen. This makes sense, since the Bible says that 'faith is the evidence of things not seen' (Hebrews 11:1). Also, after His resurrection He told Thomas, 'Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed' (John 20:29).
