Question:
Praise the Lord! I have a question that came up at work that I was able to answer but did not really convince my co-worker. The question was why our churches, or some of them, do not have the cross in or on them? Can you help me elaborate more?
Answer:
Some churches have a cross, others do not. It is up to each local assembly to decide whether or not they want one. Basically, a cross is a symbol representing the death of Jesus for our sins. It is a decoration. It has no spiritual value. Some churches have chosen not to display a cross because they consider it to be too closely associated with the Roman Catholic Church.
