Question:	Why didn't David follow the ten commandments regarding, 'Thy shall not lie.' In a few verses, it sounds as though he lyed about where he was, or in some other manner.

Answer:	Why does anyone lie? Who can say. The heros of the Bible are never portrayed as doing everything perfectly. Perhaps this is so all the rest of us can relate to them.
