Question:
Are there apostles today, and if so, who has the power to to appoint them?
Answer:
An apostle is one who is sent out on a mission, usually to plant or strengthen new assemblies. Just as there were many apostles in the days of the early church, so today there are many apostles operating around the world, though many are not called apostles. The authority to send out an apostle is in every local assembly.
