Question: Thank you once again for your thoughtful and insightful answer. I totally agree that we don't get far condemning, but I guess my point is that to truly show the real Jesus(we are the light of the world) as I mentioned before, we should have a day that is as close as possible according to the scriptures and then show the world how to truly celebrate the Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and truth. If you look at Acts 17:18, the people asked, 'What is this new doctrine.' Also the city was in idolatry worshiping the unknown God. The world seems to have a problem with who Jesus is. We, the true believers, have an obligation to show them. 1 Peter 4:3-4 says, 'For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you.' You must agree this is what goes on this time of year with most people.

Answer: There is no question that many people over-indulge themselves in a variety of ways during the Christmas season. But we should live soberly, righteously, and godly at all times of the year. I don't think the key is having a special day; it is how we live our lives.
