Question:
I have heard both sides of the 'komao' and 'kome' interpretation--thank you. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but do you have any 1st century historical data to corroborate the stance that women are not to cut their hair. I would be very interested to hear it.
Answer:
The closest quote to the first century that I know of is from Clement of Alexandria (150-215 AD), who wrote in his work The Instructor, 'God wishes women to...rejoice in their locks alone growing spontaneously.'
