The most instructive Scriptures on this subject are Romans 8:13-14, which say, 'For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.' We put the deeds of the flesh to death by submitting to the leading of the Spirit. Every time you submit to the Spirit, the strength of the flesh is diminished. In order to do this day by day, you must start your each day by submitting to the Spirit. Paul explained it this way: 'And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God' (Romans 6:13). We suggest you start each day by presenting your body to God as an instrument of His righteousness.
