Question:	How does a backslider return? Of course by repentance, but should we do anything else, announce anything, do anything, ask the pastor? What if the decision is made to go to the same faith but a different church, are we obligated biblically to say anything to the new church?

Answer:	You return to God by repenting and submitting yourself to the leadership of the local assembly. Regardless which assembly you return to, you must meet with the leaders and fill them in on your background, your desire to live for God, and your willingness to be committed to the local assembly. If you have wronged anyone, you should apologize and make whatever ammends are appropriate.
