Question:
Hello, I'm considering a career in acting and I was just wondering if it is advisable to do so. I know I would sometimes have to play certain characters whose actions are sinful and that is my dilemma. Is it all right for a Christian actor to play a sinful character? I'm not trying to negatively affect my, or anyone else's, walk with God. - Thanks
Answer:
A career in acting could put you an many compromising situations. We do not believe portraying a sinful character is necessarily a sin, but it may be a poor witness. If you decide to pursue this career, you must be prepared to turn down some roles as a matter of righteousness. If going into it you feel you will need to accept any role you can get, then we suggest you pursue a different career.
