Question:
Why do so many Apostolic churches accept Valentines day when it itself is a Pagan holiday. I have heard of alot of Apostolic churches not believeing in Christmas, so why do so many believe in Valentines day? BOTH ARE PAGAN! Thank you and God bless.
Answer:
You will have to ask one of the churches that does accept Valentine's Day. We have always discouraged our members from participating in it, not because it has pagan roots, but because it is a contrived special day primarily promoted so that Hallmark can sell greeting cards, Brach can sell candy, and the local flourist can sell roses. We believe men ought to give their wives various tokens of affection throughout the year and not allow themselves to be manipulated by Madison Avenue advertisng agencies.
