Are there really no coincidences?

Question:
I heard there are no coincidences with God. Things happen for a reason. I recently found out I am cut from next years budget. I was cut last year and moved where I am currently being cut again. I know good things come from God. When I asked earlier if it was wrong to pray Psalms 23 and said each line had meaning to me, I can't help but recall the line, 'The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want' which to me meant my needs would be taken care of provided I am obedient to the word of God. I am trying to be, I am trying to have faith and believe it. Does that make the word of God ineffective to my situation if I am feeling I don't deserve it?
Answer:
The effectiveness of the Word of God is not determined by our feelings. God is always faithful, even when we are unfaithful. But because we are human, we often have a hard time recognizing God's hand at work until well after the fact. Just continue to be faithful and obedient.
