Question:
I wasn't being a critic, I was just wondering why Jesus wasn't preached out of the Old Testament much. Not referring to you but preachers as a whole. Can you tell me, if a person doesn't get baptized in water since they believe, are they saved or not? Anyway, God bless in the Holy Name of Jesus the Messiah.
Answer:
Peter said that everyone must repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for (literally 'into') the forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38). If this is true (which it is), then baptism is absolutely necessary, since no one can be saved without receiving forgiveness from God for their sins. Please see our article called 'Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?' on Shelf 1 of the Apostolic Free Library on this website.
