Question: Greetings in the name of Jesus. My question is about so-called medians and ghosts. I see shows out there like Long Island Median and others like that. They say they see or talk to dead people. When they read someone, it appears to be that they are correct what they are saying. When people die, what happens to their spirits? Do they sleep until judgment or do their spirits walk the earth or do they go to heaven or hell right away? Are ghost real? The apostles ask is that a ghost when they at sea. Did they believe in ghosts? My wife asked me about this being biblical and is true. Looking forward to your answer.

Answer: First of all, you have demonstrated why believers should not be watching the trash on TV. All it does is raise unnecessary questions and cause confusion. Second, when a person dies, his body goes into the grave and his spirit goes back to God who gave it (Ecclesiates 12:7). What some people think are ghosts are probably demonic spirits manifesting themselves in some way in order to incite fear. Since angels are sometimes referred to as spirits (Hebrews 1:13-14), the disciples probably thought they were seeing an angels and not the Lord Himself, since they believed He was dead.
