Question: Some preachers who teach we are in the end times are teaching that Matthew 6 starting at verse 25 means food and provision storage shows a lack of faith. How do you see this? Do other scriptures (Joseph, Noah, the ants, etc) as well as our daily lives (going to the grocery store, buying needed clothing, having a savings account, etc) balance this out? When Jesus fed the 5,000, the fishes and loaves were His starting place; when the prophet was fed the cake from the meal barrel, He provided after the woman had done all she could.

Answer: We agree with you. If it is wrong to buy six months worth of food to be prepared for a future disaster, then it would also be wrong to buy six days worth of food to prepare for the rest of the week. When Jesus said, 'Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble,' He wasn't saying that we shouldn't make any preparations for the future; He was simply telling us not to be all worried about the future.
