Answer: |
Whether a person's body is cremated or buried is not a moral issue. A deceased person cannot sin. It is, however, in the Jewish and Christian traditions to be buried. From the earliest of time, burial has been done in anticipation of a coming resurrection. In contast, cremation has its origins in Hinduism and anticipates reincarnation, a non-biblical concept. Cremation also seems much more like what will happen to people who go to hell whereas burial looks forward to eternal life.
