Question: I first want to mention I truly am blessed by your sight and I study very deeply so in the way of being open minded what is your opinion on the following...Abraham as a rich man and he only tithe once on spoils of war & not that he had to..did the law of Moses ever command Israelites to tithe? (only farmers & ranchers) they never tithed money! they tithed crops & animals. Deaut 14:22-27 they had money but didn't tithe it, malachi 3:10 who was the prophet talking to (the Israelites living under the law of moses, not Christians its all about crops and animals in its literal store house, Christians cant be cursed Jesus bore the curse on the cross, Jesus talked on tithe but only to the pharisees who had herb gardens in their backyards who were under the law of Moses .tithe is old covenant. nehemiah 10 priests take care of Gods house not the Israelites, leviticus 27 only animals and crops, nehemiah 12:44-13 tithes were food ( Satan changed it to money) Hebrew 7:5,6,12 old law changed, 2 Corinthians 9:6,7 new testament giving , Romans 7:1-6 relates the law to marriage (can't have old was with new) Galatians 2:11-21 you are under transgression to practice the law & make Christs death in vain ,Galatians 3:10,11, 19-25, free from law cursed if law abounds in your practices, giving as one purposes not that they were cursed if they don't they just want reap bountifuly , tithe was for the sin offering Jesus was the offering once and for all. acts 5 only what they purposed and laid it at the apostles feet ,old tithe was in a seven year cycle and there were three tithes 1st was for the poor 2nd they ate before God the 3rd a tenth of the tenth was kept by the levites if were practicing Judaism we should do it right ??? only Holy spirit lead new covenant given is Biblical !!

Answer: I challenge your assertion that you are open-minded. It is obvious that you did not post your question because you were trying to learn something; you posted it to assert your own viewpoint. We have dealt with this issue over and over on this website and I presently feel disinclined to do it again for you. The only thing I want to say is that your claim that a Christian cannot be cursed is false. Paul wrote the following as a warning to the believers Corinthians: 'If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed' (1 Corinthians 16:22). We believe that those who tithe because they love the Lord will be blessed, but those who decline to tithe or do it out of compulsion will suffer the consequences.
