Question:	Hello in the name of Jesus, my question is about anointing oil. How would someone at home make anointing oil? It would be used for blessing, healing, protection, and more. Is there certain ingredients I would have to use? Do I have to say a particular prayer? Or could I use oil in my cabinets and pray over it to make it an anointing oil? With much blessing, Thank you!

Answer:	The oil used by the apostles and the early church was ordinary olive oil. That is all you need. I might add that it was only used in connection with healing (see Mark 6:13 and James 5:14). Any other use would be going beyond the Scriptures and would run the risk of falling into superstition or possibly even witchcraft. We suggest you use only olive oil and only in praying for healing as a means of strengthening faith.
