The first step is to spend lots of time alone with Jesus on a regular basis. The next step is to fill yourself up on the Word of God. Finally, whenever a prophecy is given, take note of what you were feeling just before it happened. If God is wanting to use you in this ministry, He will usually allow you to sense that a prophecy is about to be given just before it happens. Then, after a while, He will open up an opprtunity for you to speak the prophecy. When this happens, you must be willing to be corrected by those who are leading the meeting. All prophecy is suggect to evaluation.
