Question:
I can not believe on the answer that Jesus is the same as God by conveniently giving that whenever He says Father he was addressing that person as a human being. The problem is when someone believes Jesus as God they will find and make reasons to sustain what they believe. Please explain what this mean: For God so love the world that he gave his only Son xxxx. God gave himself as a son of God? or father forgive them for they know not what they are doing- does Jesus addressing himself calling himself father or calling His father God. Let us not be philosopher in our understanding about God the father and God the Son. There are many passages in the Bible about Jesus saying about His Father- referring to a person superior than him- that is the God who sent him to earth to save mankind. But the thing is even if it is clear in the passages that Jesus and his Father are two separate entity though one in substance as divine, the human mind with its brilliancy had develop a doctrine making 3 personalities as one and literally. Much more Jesus, as said, died on the cross. God(Jesus)died?! God will die? The one who has no beginning and no end. Of course they will see again only his human body died not the spirit. Is it not that even ordinary mortals when they die only their physical body dies but not their spirit? God will not die.
Answer:
You have stated that God the Father and Jesus are 'two separate entities' and that the Father is superior to Jesus. This sounds like the doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses, who believe that Jehovah is God and that Jesus is a lesser secondary divine being. Is this what you are saying?
