How is my brokenness healed?

Question:
What is a person to do, when the storms of life leave you devastated and shattered inside, lost and numb?
Answer:
How blessed we are to have a Savior who says, 'I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds' (Jeremiah 30:17). Who says, 'Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth' (Jeremiah 33:6). Who says, 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed' (Luke 4:18).
All we must do is yield ourselves completely to Him. Just as most people willingly submit to whatever their doctor tells them they must do to get well and conscientiously obey their every instruction, so must we submit entirely to the will of the Lord Jesus.
A good place to start would be with the faith-filled request, 'Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed' (Jeremiah 17:14), followed by the confession, 'I delight to do Your will, O my God' (Psalms 40:8).
