We witness to people about Jesus in order to persuade them to believe in Jesus. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing. What must people hear? They must hear about Jesus. Until they hear they cannot believe. Romans 10:14 asks, 'How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?' Of course, many who hear do not believe, but that should not prevent us from witnessing.
