Are the Word and psychology compatible?

Question:
I met a lady who says psychology lines up with the word of God, depending on how you look at it. I don't exactly understand what she means, but I thought after reading some of your articles and hearing preaching from Holy Ghost filled men of God that psychology didn't work and that only God could help. Do you think, depending on how you view psychology that it lines up with the word of God? I mean psychology uses man's reasoning, making mental illness logical rather than spritual. It takes away from the supernatural. Is it better to be educated by man's reasoning rather than God's word and the healing of the Holy Ghost. Is this ok?
Answer:
We do not believe that any kind of psychological therapy is compatable with the Word of God. For a lot of information on this subject, take a look at www.psychoheresy-aware.org. These people also publish an excellent newsletter that they send out for free. We have great regard for the work they are doing.
