Question: I am an apostolic christian, and I believe all the apostolic doctrine. I believe in the Oneness of God. But most of my friends are trinitarians. They always ask me some questions like, if Jesus Christ is God Himself, then why did He tell His disciples that 'the Father is greater than I, I go to the Father, and I will send the Holy Spirit from the Father? So who is that Father which Jesus Christ was talking about. Please can you explain it for me? Thank you and God bless you

Answer: You have said that you believe in the Oneness of God which is good, but now you must work to gain a better understanding of what you believe. We suggest you read the first three articles on the Doctrine shelf of the Apostolic Free Library. We also suggest that you ask your pastoral leaders for other material such as books and tapes on this subject. Rather than attempting to explain the Oneness doctrine in detail on this Q and A board, we think it more important that you take time to study it thoroughly on your own. Once prepared, you will be able to respond to your trinitarian friends without a problem.
