Where can I get in a home group?

Question: I HAVE DOWNLOADED YOUR HOME GROUP LESSON CALLED 'LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY OF LIGHT.' I HAVE NO HOME GROUP MEETINGS BUT I WANTED TO STUDY THIS FOR MYSELF, AND I AM GLAD I DID. I NOW KNOW THAT I NEED TO CHANGE, AND I HAVE A LITTLE MORE UNDERSTANDING AS WHY I AM WHERE I AM. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE NO ONE THAT I FELLOWSHIP WITH. I LOVE MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN OUR CHURCH BUT ONLY SEE THEM DURING CHURCH SERVICES. I KNOW NOW THAT I NEED SOMEONE THAT I CAN TALK TO AND ASK FOR HELP IN THE AREAS THAT I NEED. I TRY TO HANDLE EVERYTHING MYSELF AND I AM NOT GETTING ANYWHERE SPIRITUALLY. HOW CAN I CHANGE. IS THERE A PLACE I COULD GO TO. THANK-YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN. I KNOW THAT GOD HAS LED ME TO THIS WEBSITE. WHEN YOU WANT TO SERVE HIM AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT, HE WILL LEAD YOU TO THE ANSWERS. I HAVE LEARNED SOOOOO MUCH, AND I KNOW THAT THERE IS STILL ALOT OF GROWING AND CHANGING THAT I NEED TO DO, BUT PRAISE GOD THAT HE HAS SHOWN ME WHERE TO GO AND THAT YOUR MINISTRY IS HERE. AND THAT IT IS TRUTH. KEEPING YOUR MINISTRY IN MY PRAYERS!!

We would suggest you start by talking to the pastoral leaders of your assembly. Perhaps they would consider starting some home groups. A good place to begin learning about home groups would be at the New Wineskins Conference held Apirl 6-8 in Oak Creek, WI. They can find out about it by visiting www.parkwaychurch.ws. Dave Huston from this website will be one of the speakers at the conference.

If they are unwilling to get the entire church invloved in this ministry, perhaps you could invite some of the ladies of the church over to your house for informal meetings of praise, prayer, and mutual encouragement. When we cannot have the ideal, sometimes we have to settle for the closest thing we can get.
