Question: I am a believer who was baptised in Jesus name. I have not received the Holy Spirit yet, but I am seeking it. I have been out of the church for years until recently. God has brought me back to my faith thank God. But while out of the church I have had out of wedlock two kids. I am still with their father. We have been together for seven years. I want to marry him asap, because I know it's a sin because we're not married. Do you think it is a good idea? He is not a believer yet, but he does want to get married.

Answer: We are not in a position to say if this is a good idea or not, since we do not know you or the man. On the one hand it is unwise to be yoked in marriage to an unbeliever. On the other hand, you are already as good as married, since you are living together and have two children. We suggest you speak to the spiritual leaders at your assembly. Perhaps they could meet with this man and discuss both the responsibilities of marraige and his need for salvation.
