Question: First of all, I thank you for answering my questions. I love to worship and sing during that time of service. I feel the need to do so every time. I feel like I have come to a safe place. Am I being selfish. I feel as though I am being judged when I do this so I stop clapping my hands sometimes) to avoid attention. Am I discerning someone or people around me or is this just me or the devil's attempt to garble my mind and/or distract me from worship. I have heard more than once that this is the only time we have to touch the throne of heaven, so we should not miss it. Is this because service is beginining and we are entering his court? 'Let everything that hath breath, praise ye the Lord.'

Answer: We can hardly imagine how there could be anything selfish about worshiping the Lord with your whole heart. We encourage you to continue to do so! Keep in mind that there are always people around like Michal, the wife of King David who despised his worship (see 2 Samuel 6:16-23). Don't allow them to hinder you or distract you.

We usually begin our meetings with singing and worship because, as you said, we are entering into His courts with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. We would not say that this is the only time we can touch the throne of heaven, but it is indeed a key time and we should particpate fully on every ocassion. God bless. Keep worshiping King Jesus!
